Contract Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION

The role will work closely with the Investment Team, Technical Team, Legal Team, Business Development Team, Operations & Maintenance Team, and external stakeholders such as consultants and EPC contractors to manage and oversee the Pre-tender and EPC phase of utility-scale wind, solar and BESS projects, including defining and negotiating EPC contract and project deliverable requirements, and managing client relations, as well as establishing and monitoring performance metrics, project schedules, risk profiles and cost-performances. It is expected that the EPC/Bid manager will be handling multiple projects simultaneously

In particular, the successful candidate shall discharge the following functions:

Lead the strategy development and execution of bid/tender strategies for utility-scale wind and solar projects.
Oversee the preparation and delivery of tender documentation and other milestones as part of the bid strategy and competitive process rules.
Identify risks in the bid strategy and develop solutions to overcome those.
Support permitting and jurisdictional approval processes as needed for project construction.
Very adept at contract management and negotiation and experienced with contract specification, EPC selection, and project implementation insurance.
Review and manage EPC Contractor, schedules, budgets, scope, subcontractors, EHS plans and permit compliance.
Coordinate with EPC contractors and equipment vendors to ensure adherence to and compliance with contract terms and delivery of contractual deliverables in accordance with the project budget and schedule.
Ensure project quality control and safe construction practices by conducting on-site inspections as needed, coordinating with 3rd party firms if necessary.
Lead and/or facilitate project status update meetings with utilities, EPCs, off-takers and finance counterparties, facilitating discussions with a detailed project plan and high-level status dashboard.
Manage the collection, organization and filing of all project documentation, both internally and for external third-party stakeholders and project financing needs; and
Assist with other duties that may be assigned.
