Vena Energy Announces 21MW Lombok Solar Project Achieving Commercial Operation in Indonesia

[Jakarta, Indonesia] Vena Energy, a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) of renewable energy in the Asia-Pacific region, announced today that the 21-megawatt “Lombok” Solar Project has achieved full commercial operation in July 2019. The Lombok Solar Project consists of three individual solar projects each with a capacity of 7-megawatts, all located on the island of Lombok in Indonesia.

The Lombok Solar Project created more than 750 jobs locally, since its construction began in April 2018 across three separate work sites. With its completion and commercial operation, the Lombok Solar Project is forecasted to deliver up to 33,400MWh and provide more than enough power to approximately 20,037 households in Indonesia. In addition, the Lombok Solar Project will save more than 32,541,737-litres of water and reduce an estimated 27,931-tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions compared to coal-powered generation.
