Our colleagues in India recently partnered with the Impact Guru Foundation to provide medical care, basic diagnostics, medicine, and essentials, as well as counselling services to the villagers in 24 villages near our 26 MW JMD Wind Project.
As part of a three-day mission, the team from Impact Guru and Vena Energy distributed health kits, which included essentials such as a pulse oximeter, thermometer, 10 N95 masks, and 50 surgical masks to 40 Aganwari workers. They also distributed 19 wheelchairs, 10 walkers, and 18 walking sticks to the needy. Finally, they also distributed food supplements to anganwadi (rural childcare in India) facilitators, which will be used to feed children above the ages of six years old.
In all, more than 1,000 villagers benefited from the partnership, and we look forward to continuing to support our host communities through more social and engagement activities.
