Wetlands clean-up for the protection of the ocean, the environment and wild birds

Last Saturday our colleagues from Vena Energy Taiwan participated clean-up exercise, in partnership with the National Property Administration (NPA) and the Kaoshsiung Wild Bird Society (KWBS), in the surrounding wetlands of our 70 MW Mingus Solar Project in Chiayi County.

A total of 30 of our colleagues worked alongside the NPA and KWBS, and was also joined by 20 people from the community. Over 30 bags of trash was collected at the end of the exercise, and the whole group proceeded to the Mingus Education Centre for a talk on the history of the salt plains, as well as an tour of the ecological preservation area.

The Mingus Education Centre was established this year to provide the community and the general public about the history and development of the Mingus Solar Project, the benefits of renewable energy, as well as the protection of biodiversity. We welcome all NGOs and schools to visit us and learn more about how we can preserve our environment together.
