Vena Energy Announces the Commercial Operation of the Kawakami 2 Solar Project in Japan

Vena Energy, Asia-Pacific’s leading renewable energy company, announced today that the 31 MW “Kawakami 2” Solar Project has achieved commercial operation. Spanning an area of 49 hectares, the Project is located next to the 37 MW Kawakami Solar Project which was commissioned in November 2021 and consists of 74,480 bifacial solar photovoltaic panels that were constructed by a peak workforce of 182 workers. The Kawakami 2 Solar Project can supply approximately 8,558 local households with clean energy annually while reducing approximately 22,919 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and saving 32 million liters of water yearly.
