Tay Boon Khim is the Group Head of Project Financing at Vena Energy. As a key member of the Investment team, he is responsible for structuring and procuring long-term, non-recourse project financing to fuel the growth for Vena Energy’s renewable energy projects across 9 operating jurisdictions.
Boon Khim has over 28 years of financing experience, dealing with infrastructure, acquisition, securitization, and advisory across the Asia Pacific region. Prior to Vena Energy, he led a team at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) advising and arranging debts utilizing finance from the Export Credit Agencies, Multi-Lateral Agencies, and commercial banks for power, utilities, infrastructure, and telecommunication projects in the region. He also previously worked at UniCredit Bank AG specializing in assets securitization, and American Express Bank Ltd supporting business planning for the entire Asia-Pacific region, and the Indian subcontinent.
Boon Khim attended the Executive Development program in Singapore Management University, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in the United States.
