Juan Mas Valor is the Regional Solar Leader at Vena Energy responsible for the Asia-Pacific region, and Country Head of Japan in charge of the development, execution and operation of a large and strong solar and wind pipeline,where he commissioned 350MW of solar projects, and was integral in the establishment of the Company’s in-house Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) capabilities.
With more than 17-years of management experience in the renewable energy industry, Juan has led the development, construction and operation of solar and wind projects in Japan, South America, and Europe. Prior to Vena Energy, Juan served as Managing Director at Juwi Holding AG in Chile and in his native country of Spain. He also served as Co-Managing Director of a joint-venture company between Juwi and Shizen Energy, where he played a crucial role in the building of more than 40-projects in three years. Before Juwi, Juan oversaw the development and execution of wind projects in Spain at Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica S.A. (now Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy S.A).
Juan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, and an industrial management degree from Manchester University in the United Kingdom. Juan also studied economics at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) in Spain.
