Simone is the Chief Investment Officer of Vena Energy, and is currently based in Tokyo, Japan.
Prior to Vena Energy, Simone worked for GIP as Vice President in the energy team focusing on renewables, including the acquisition of GIP’s European renewable platform in Spain, GIP’s first investment in offshore wind in the German North Sea and the acquisition of Vena Energy.
Previously part of the Renewable Energy team in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse in London, covering the sector across the UK, Germany, Spain, France and Italy; including the listing of Enel Green Power, the world’s largest renewable IPO at the time.
Simone Grasso graduated with honours in bioengineering from the Biomedical University of Rome. He subsequently earned a Master’s in Management at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Turin.
