Vena Energy Welcomes Dignitaries at Mingus Solar Project
Vena Energy welcomed the dignitaries from the Taiwan government, the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and members of the media at the 70.2 MW Mingus Solar Project, Taiwan’s largest private ground-based solar project, located in Chiayi County. Adhering to ESG principles and Vena Energy’s Green Financing Framework, the award-winning Mingus Solar Project is unique in Taiwan, as it harmonizes solar energy development with environmental and biodiversity conservation.
1st Blue Sky Environmental Speech Contest , Korea [제 1회 파란하늘 환경스피치 대회 개최]
In line with the 'Green New Deal Policy' announced by the Korean government in July 2020, the Environmental Speech Competition will be held in Tongyeong at 19 Dec 2020 under the theme of 'Our Environment and the Future’ as part of Vena Energy Korea’s Blue Sky Environmental Movement.
Women Empowerment Programme in Jeneponto, Indonesia
We've recently completed a entrepreneurship training programme for the the women from the host community of our 72MW Tolo Wind Project in Jeneponto, Indonesia. The programme was established to support the villagers through training on processing local agricultural produce, and providing the villagers with additional income channels and economic value.
Wetlands clean-up for the protection of the ocean, the environment and wild birds
Last Saturday our colleagues from Vena Energy Taiwan participated clean-up exercise, in partnership with the National Property Administration (NPA) and the Kaoshsiung Wild Bird Society (KWBS), in the surrounding wetlands of our 70 MW Mingus Solar Project in Chiayi County.
Celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival with the Host Communities in Taiwan
Vena Energy Taiwan celebrated the Dragon Boat Festival, or 端午節 with its host communities by donating 50 bags of rice to 50 low-income families in the MeiNung Township in Kaoshiung.
Donation of surgical masks to our host communities in Japan
Between 22 to 28 May Vena Energy Japan and Nippon Wind Energy (NWE) donated a total of 12,000 surgical masks to its wind project host communities in Aomori, Fukui , Tottori, Kagoshima, Kumamoto and Shimane.
These surgical masks will assist the communities that may face shortage of surgical masks and other essentials.
