Associate / Senior Associate, Investment

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the General Manager, Investment, you will be responsible for conducting investment due diligence and support in business development for Vena Energy group of companies in India.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain financial models to support investment and financing decisions
Prepare detailed investment documents and investment approval requests
Assist in asset and portfolio valuations
Liaise on behalf of the company with external parties such as transaction advisors, lenders, due diligence consultants, OEMs and other such parties
Evaluate M&A opportunities and supporting deal execution
Participate in project financing through lending term-sheet evaluation and supporting negotiation of lending terms

EDUCATION

A graduate, with appropriate corporate finance/ investment professional qualification viz. CFA, MBA, Master’s in Finance etc would be an advantage

Experience

Project finance modelling experience of 2 years for power / infrastructure sector.
Minimum 2 to 3 years rigorous financial / investment modelling experience is a must, with no more than 7 years of overall work experience.
Work experience in a transnational organisation or environment would be an added advantage.
Financial modelling knowledge and experience.
Understanding of power sector in India preferably renewables market

Knowledge about Accounting, Finance, Capital Structure & Valuation
Independent, self-starter, team-oriented and confident
Time management, highly analytical, execution mindset and attention to detail
A team-player with ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)
