Investment Sr. Associate/Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • The role provides a combination of M&A through strategic joint ventures or acquisitions, project finance through debt-raising our upcoming renewable energy projects and structuring commercial strategies as we enter offtake arrangements with targeted counterparties

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct financial due diligence:

  • Create and manage extensive financial models and conduct quantitative analyses on key investment targets.
  • Conduct due diligence and identify key flaws and upsides on potential acquisitions and strategic joint venture partnerships.

Support in project financing:

  • Work with a young and dynamic team to raise debt and equity funding.

Identify and understand market trends:

  • Understand key drivers of the industry to assist in project development initiatives and aid the rapid expansion of the company.
  • Identify new opportunities and formulate robust investment cases and proposals in an ever-evolving industry.
  • Explore new and innovative strategies to create value across the portfolio.

Provide support in risk management:

  • Assist in internal audit and risk management review as required.
  • Collaborate with professionals from different backgrounds and points of view to create solutions and mitigate risks.
  • Assist in corporate governance and structuring to protect shareholder and investor interests.

Understanding of the business/commercial experience (Business acumen):

 Immerse in project operations to create asset management reports for 250MW of clean renewable energy power plants.

  • Assist in contract negotiations of key commercial agreements.
  • Understand the multi-dimensional management of the business to create corporate strategies.
  • Understand the interplay of the various facets of the business (e.g. technical, finance, community relations, etc.) to create recommendations for corporate decisions.
  • Support in the business’ Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives and requirements
  • Assist in preparation of management accounts, and review of audited financial statements
  • Assist in treasury and finance-related functions (FX and cash management)
  • Assist in internal audit and risk management review as required
  • Collaborate with professionals from different backgrounds and points of view to create solutions and mitigate risks
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or any related course

Experience

  • 4 to 7 years of experience in corporate finance/investment banking/private equity functions
  • CFA is a plus

SKILLS

  • Proficient in financial modelling, valuation, and quantitative analysis
  • Ability to work on several projects concurrently, and the willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Intermediate to advanced abilities in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
