Project Development Manager

ABOUT THE POSITION

The role will manage and execute development activities for assigned project, from inception to shovel-ready status

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development:

  • Manage and execute development activities for assigned project(s), from inception to shovel-ready status:
  • Consolidate budget requests of workstream owners and prepare the annual project budget, and monitor actual spent-to-dates
  • Manage internal project development team, making sure that workstreams are aligned with project schedule and budget all the while ensuring that team is motivated, effectively and efficiently pursuing project goals.
  • Prepare and review various project related documents such as, but not limited to: Anaplan, presentations, feasibility studies, industry analyses, market reports, project/tasks implementation schedules, plans and communications.
  • Manage and coordinate with contractors and consultants in the preparation of various studies (environmental, technical, financial etc) needed for the project.
  • Establish, manage and maintain good relations with project partners/proponents, host communities, local government and other stakeholders
  • Monitor project development progress and compliance with Vena Energy standards, policies and procedures.
  • Update the ANAPLAN Project Tracker and Devex Tracker.
  • Prepare and review Board Papers presented during the meetings of the Board of Directors, as well as accomplish and follow up on tasks and directives they issue.

 

 For Regulatory Affairs:

  1. Lead or assist in managing and executing regulatory activities for assigned project(s):
  2. Prepare and submit required applications and reports to regulatory agencies making sure that these comply with company policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Track and monitor the status of submissions and applications to ensure timely approval.
  4. Serve as primary regulatory authority contact for assigned project(s), attending meetings, making presentations and communicating regularly with authorities to maintain good relations.
  5. Maintain current knowledge of regulations, policies and standards pertinent to business interests in the Philippines.
  6. Keeps track of proposed industry rules, laws, standards and other regulations that impact the operations of the company and its allied business units in the Philippines.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business / AgriBusiness / Engineering / Development / Environment

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience Project Development experience of renewable energy or similar projects
  • Relevant experience in any of the following: Project Management Budgeting and Scheduling Contract Management and Regulatory Affairs

SKILLS

  • Highly organized
  • Must be energetic, resourceful, has initiative and sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Adept in stakeholder management
