Vena Energy’s first asset base originated in 2012 with investments into 10 solar projects in Thailand totaling 92 MW.
In 2013, we expanded into Japan by investing in four solar assets totaling 48 MW, and into India with a 54 MW wind project.
In the following year, we invested in a 30 MW solar project and 54 MW wind project in the Philippines.
In 2015, we received our first successful bid for a 130 MW solar project in India, while expanding into Taiwan and Indonesia.
In 2016, we commissioned the 132 MW Project Pollo, Southeast Asia’s largest single solar project. Additionally, we signed the first 60 MW wind power-purchase-agreement (PPA) in Indonesia and expanded into Australia.
In the following year, we secured a tender to develop Taiwan’s largest solar project at that time, the 70 MW Mingus Solar Project.

Acquired by Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), CIC Capital Corporation (CIC Capital) and Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments).
Rebranded as Vena Energy and established a corporate platform in Singapore.
Commenced the construction of the 127 MW Tailem Bend Solar Project in South Australia.
Expanded into the South Korean market.

Obtained Investment Grade corporate rating.
Fully commissioned five solar and wind projects in Indonesia totalling 114 MW.
Commissioned five solar projects in Japan totalling 82 MW.
Commissioned a 127 MW solar project in South Australia.
Commissioned two solar projects in Taiwan totalling 80 MW, including Taiwan’s largest ground-mounted solar project.
